Leca Méline (Genève)

The Maison de naissance la Roseraie is managed by the Association Maison de naissance la Roseraie. It is a member of the IGGH, the Swiss association of birth centers.

The Association Maison de naissance la Roseraie is a non-profit-making association, constituted in accordance with articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code, and is politically and denominationally neutral (our statutes).

The Association Maison de naissance la Roseraie has been made up of the Committee and the College of Midwives since April 2016. The Committee has a crucial and determining role in the management, both of human and financial resources, of the Maison de naissance.

The College of Midwives remained stable this year with 15 midwives. All the midwives in the College are mandated by the Association to take care of La Roseraie families. They are responsible for all medical and obstetrical aspects.

The two midwives representing the Collège are elected by the latter: Amandine Biondi was elected this year to work in collaboration with Méline Leca.

The representatives act as a link between the Committee and the Collège, thanks to monthly or weekly meetings on both sides. They enable better communication between the two bodies, and also lighten the workload of the Collège midwives. They are elected for a two-year term.
