What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture, a thousand-year-old medicine originating in China, still has its place at the dawn of the 21st century as a complement to so-called Western medicine. Initially "intended" as a preventive medicine by the Chinese, acupuncture is used in our daily practice for both preventive and curative purposes. It treats both acute and chronic illnesses, and can be used without difficulty from birth (acupuncture is used in infants and children, a medical population that responds particularly quickly and completely to needle treatment) to the last day of life.

Also practises auriculotherapy, a technique involving the placement of small needles in the ears (as in smoking cessation).
