Our medical community in the center of Zurich is a complementary-medically oriented practice, which stands for careful and qualified medical application of Classical Chinese Medicine. Much space is given to the diagnosis, the conversation with you and the holistic perception, in order to grasp you in your particular situation and to perceive your complaints as part of your overall personality. Our therapeutic methods are Chinese medicinal therapy and acupuncture, which we adapt to our Western needs and use as a complement, as a supplement, to Western medicine.

We specialize in the application of Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM), which is based on the classical texts and traditional parameters of Daoist science and thus leads to the very essence of Chinese medicine. The decisive factor is the individual-specific concept, in which the individualized diagnosis and the corresponding treatment with the flexible use of prescriptions are in the foreground. Ready-to-use medicines are only used in exceptional cases.

In acupuncture - the external therapy - the blocked energy flow is modulated with fine needles. There is a pathway system in the body for the distribution of energetic processes. The acupuncture points allow access and influence on this energetic flow system. The aim of this therapy is to reach the Qi in its pathway system and to modulate it with the needle. In this way, blockages can be released, the flow of Qi can be strengthened or pathological Qi can be discharged. For this reason, the Health Insurance Act (KVG) limits acupuncture and TCM treatments to 180 minutes per half year. As physicians we are obliged - just like the public health insurer - to adhere to the legislation of the TARMED tariff.

The costs of complementary medical services that exceed the legal limit are in most cases covered by private supplementary insurers. You can submit the bill that exceeds the KVG limit to your private insurer (supplementary insurance for complementary medicine) for cost sharing or reimbursement.

In our practice, we provide services of conventional medicine and - as the main focus of our activity - services of complementary medicine. The services of conventional medicine can basically be provided under the KVG regime, the services of complementary medicine within the limited framework of the KVG service ordinance. These compulsory services are only covered by the KVG insurer within the framework of the principle of economic efficiency.
