I was born and raised in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.

I studied medicine for 6 years at Huaxi University in Chengdu, China (1982-1988). After graduating in 1988, I specialized in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for one year at the University of Chengdu.

In Tibet, I worked for 4 years at the People's Hospital of Tibet as a medical specialist. After that, I volunteered as a doctor at Delek Hospital in India for one year.

In 1993, I moved to Switzerland and completed 4 years of medical studies at the University of Zurich. I have been successfully practicing TCM in Switzerland for over 25 years. On February 14, 2002 I opened my own practice in Zurich (Wollishofen).

I am recognized by most health insurance companies. Thus, the treatment costs are covered by the health insurance companies, provided that you have an appropriate supplementary insurance for alternative or complementary medicine. Acupuncture is probably the best known Chinese healing method in this country. For more than 2500 years, Traditional Chinese Medicine has been using acupuncture to treat diseases. The field of application of acupuncture is very diverse.

In acupuncture, fine needles are inserted into precisely defined acupuncture points. These acupuncture points are located on the twelve meridians, the pathways that connect the organ systems or functional circuits. According to the teachings of traditional Chinese medicine, the insertion of the needles influences the flow of qi, or life energy.
