TCM Praxis Gioconda Bänziger (Zürich)

My fascination with medicine goes back to my youth. When I was 15, I decided to follow a medical path. In preparation for my training as a nurse at the school of the Children's Hospital in Zurich, I completed a language study trip to London, which awakened my love of languages and taught me to stand on my own two feet at an early age.

After graduation, I worked for ten years in the departments of medicine (metabolic diseases and psychosomatics), neonatology and emergency at the Children's Hospital in Zurich. During this time, I took a six-month break to travel to Central America.

Afterwards, I started a new project in a health center, professionalizing and running the emergency phone of the Children's University Hospital in Zurich, the University Hospital in Basel and the Cantonal Hospital in Lucerne. At the same time, I studied Chinese medicine at the Tao Chi School in Zurich. After I successfully completed this, I did several internships at TCM. Then I started a new project in a health center where the emergency phone of the University Hospital of Zurich, the University Hospital of Basel and the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne were professionalized and operated. At the same time, I studied Chinese medicine at the Tao Chi School in Zurich. After graduation, I completed various internships with TCM specialists such as Simon Becker and Godi Renz, as well as at Yo San University in Los Angeles, which is well known for Chinese medicine. During my internship in the US, I was able to attend lectures, make recipes in the in-house herbal lab, and see the in-house practice.

2011-2013 I was a TCM2011-2013 I worked as a TCM therapist at the group practice on Pflanzschulstrasse in Wiedikon. Last year I also worked at the school for physically disabled and multiply disabled children in the area of "integration into the regular class".

Since December 2014, as a young mother, I have been working for one and a half years as an independent Chinese alternative practitioner in the group practice Gesundwohl Rundum in Oerlikon.

After my second maternity leave, I have been working again in a new community practice in Wipkingen since February 2018.
