Agopuntura & Shiatsu Valeria Fontana (Montagnola)

My journey to Chinese Medicine has been one marked by passion, chance, special situations and "chance" encounters with great masters. I began to become passionate about alternative medicine back in 1998 with the study of Shiatsu at the Quo School in Comano, born from the passion of two unforgettable Japanese masters, Hiroshi Nozaki and Rei Inouè. Shiatsu is in fact a Japanese manual technique that is based on the theory of Chinese Medicine.

Subsequently, I undertook higher education at the DEO Institute in Milan, under the guidance of M ° Franco Bottalo, teacher and author of several books on Shiatsu, as well as a student of M ° Jeffrey Yuen, a Taoist monk and healer of international renown.

After years of practice, I felt the need to supplement and deepen my experience with new techniques. Thanks to my acupuncturist colleague, Luca Vogini, my first great teacher and friend, I began the study of acupuncture and did my first years of practice at Dr. Andreoli's office in Dongio, his current practice.

In 2010 I graduated from CHIWAY, Academy of Acupuncture, Academy of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine in Winterthur. Among the many teachers was Hamid Montakab, acupuncturist and founder not only of the school but also of SBO, Swiss Professional Organization of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

My curiosity and great passion for this fascinating discipline allowed me to orient and deepen my study of Classical Chinese Medicine, based on ancient concepts that see man (microcosm) as one with the universe (macrocosm).

I have been fortunate to be able to follow some of the best-known current Masters from overseas who came to Europe to pass on their experiences and knowledge.

These include Master Jeffrey Yuen, Taoist Monk, the late Dr. Teh Fu Tan, USA, Dr. Young Wei Chieh, USA, Susan Johnson, USA, Robert Doane, USA, Philippe Sionneau, Barcelona, Dr. Feng Shi Lun, Beijing, Dr. Suzanne Robidoux, Benjing, Prof. Dr. Tae Cheong Choo, USA.

Extraordinary people who not only changed the way I approach and understand Chinese medicine, but revolutionized my acupuncture practice.
