As an acupuncturist I treat meridians ... and more I see the meridians not simply as channels or ducts through which energy flows, but as informative vibrational fields that vibrate the whole person down to the last cell. They have different qualities, for example, according to the Chinese meridians lung, large intestine, stomach, spleen-pancreas, heart, small intestine, bladder, kidney, circulation, 3-heat, gall bladder, liver. If these fields vibrate undisturbed, it is a good condition for the normal functioning of the body and psyche. When there are disturbances that block or distort the vibrations, disturbances also occur in the body and mind. Internal disturbances have to do with emotions. External weather or other causes can have a negative effect.
