Doctor ZHANG was born in 1951 in Beijing/Beijing, where he studied and graduated in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) at the Beijing University of Acupuncture and Orthopedics, like generations of his family.

Throughout his career, he has undergone a number of specializations and further training courses in fields such as cranial acupuncture, orthopedics (treatment of cervical vertebrae, shoulders and lumbar vertebrae). He has also undergone specific training in Qi-Gong and Tui-Na massage. His excellent knowledge and extensive practical experience have also enabled him to teach the use of Qi-Gong in massage therapy to students at the Beijing University of Acupuncture and Orthopedics.

Doctor ZHANG is one of the most active researchers and teachers of Chinese medicine in the West. He teaches regularly in China and Europe. A great enthusiast and undisputed specialist, he offers some of the best advanced courses available to professionals. He has introduced to the West a wealth of fundamental information in many areas of Chinese medicine, particularly in phytotherapy, dietetics, acupuncture and internal medicine.
