From 1978 to 1983, Dr. Jianhui Liu completed his medical training at Shanghai Military University, graduating as a physician. His theoretical and practical training combined "scientific" and traditional Chinese medicine.

Then, from 1983 to 1987, he worked as an assistant physician at the Central Military Hospital in Beijing, where he was able to broaden his clinical experience. Finally, from 1988 to 1990, he continued his medical training to obtain a post-graduate diploma at the Beijing Academy of Military Medicine.

The diplomas he obtained and his medical and scientific background enabled him to be employed as an internal physician at the Hôpital Cantonal de Genève from 1994 to 2001, joining Professor Charles Bader's team (Neurology and Orthopaedic Surgery Department). During these 7 years, he published various research papers on muscle cell physiology in scientific journals (J. Physiol. 1998, Br. J.Pharmacol. 1999, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 2000, Development 2003).

In 2003, he set up his own practice in traditional Chinese medicine. The desire to put into practice his clinical knowledge of both "Western" and traditional Chinese medicine has been the main driving force behind this. His aim is to provide his patients with a response that integrates both scientific and energetic approaches.
