In my practice I practice 95% Traditional Chinese Medicine (Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture). This does not mean, however, that I completely eliminate my conventional medical knowledge and thinking. Certain medical problems need a synthesis of the two. In any case, a conventional medical treatment can and usually should be continued at the same time.

1. chinese herbs Herbs can be an important part of the treatment. They are taken several times a day for a few days to several months, depending on the health disorder. The prescription is written and adjusted by me and will be sent directly to your home by the pharmacy. The cost is about sFr. 10.--/d for a "standard herbal mixture", but can be less or more. Chinese herbs are only covered by complementary medicine insurance.
2. acupuncture Usually 8-12 sessions are necessary. A session consists of a short consultation, with the first session taking a little longer to take a medical history and make a diagnosis. The needles are left in place for 20-30 minutes. The time needed for this is about 45-60 min.

The costs are charged according to Tarmed. Up to 180 minutes of acupuncture per 6 months are covered by the basic health insurance. After that, depending on additional insurance. Please inquire with your insurance company.

1. chinese dietetics Certain foods have the same effect as herbs in a weakened form. As a supplement, depending on the patient's willingness, I also give advice on nutrition.
