Carmen Kletschke, M.D. Specialist for General Internal Medicine FMH and Acupuncture-TCM

Since 1987 I have been involved in Traditional Chinese Medicine with a focus on acupuncture. I completed my training at medical societies in Germany, Switzerland as well as in China. Further training periods of several years followed in Chinese drug therapy, Chinese dietetics, the movement therapies Qigong and Taiji. From 1999 to 2004 I practiced as a general practitioner in a large group practice in St.Gallen. From 2003 to 2012, I established and managed the TCM Center at the Cantonal Hospital in Heiden, which I have been running as an independent practice for TCM since 2013. It has always been a great concern of mine to apply Chinese Medicine both as an independent therapy and as a complement to conventional medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.

Acupuncture in gynecology

What do the health insurance companies cover? Acupuncture is covered by basic insurance, treatment with Chinese herbs by supplementary insurance. From the 13th week of pregnancy, the health insurance will cover acupuncture treatment in full without a deductible. Registration by phone, fax or email, by the family doctor, specialist or the patient himself.
